Today in English we have started our next assesment which is speaking and listening, a few people have done theirs and i will do mine on thursday. I have planned out what my topic is and also I have practised how im going to present my work.
In nadar's lesson we have been focusing on the programming. I find it quite difficult at the moment but i hope i understand in the next few lessons. I find it hard to learn because at times I find it hard to understand Nadar because of his accent.
After my two hour break i had Maura, in her lesson we mainly worked on our blogs, updating them and improving old ones. I found this lesson easy because it wasnt to complicated like programming.

Today I only had Maura, for one lesson because all my other teachers were on stike. I came into the lesson and only 3 people were in. In this lesson i got my D for unit 3 and another D for unit 1. She said that I have to explain the work abit more and also include more information. After she explained what I had to do i gave her some more work that was due in on that day. She said that se would mark it and give it to me next time she teaches me. Near the end on the lesson she went through my log with me.

Over the weekend I have been working on my Assigments for ICT and also I have been planning my english assessment work because today was the last day to finish it.
David Castor's lesson was the first lesson of the day and in that lesson he went through our group marked work and he explained what we had to re-do and work on. This took around 15-20 minutes, after my group understood what we had to do then we all got on with the work. We nearly finished our work but we didnt have enough time so we thought we'd do it in the break.
My next lesson was English. In this lesson my class and i started to do our assesment. I found the start of the assesment quite easy because i practised what i had to write before hand. My plan included what each paragraph would start with and the points I would make.
On monday i also had Anna Birch, in this lesson Judy observed the lesson. This lesson we had to get into two's and do some presentation work.
Targets
- Hand in assignments on time
- Finish my English assesment to the best of my abilities.
- Avoid class distraction

Today in Tutorial our tutor explained to the whole class about the Strikes that are going to happen next week, he also discussed about the deadlines for his assignments.
In english we started our Assesment about ' Mission impossible 2' trailer, i thought i would do it alright because i started it fairly well and wrote around 2 and a half pages, when our teacher told us we had only 5 minutes left i read through it and made sure what i wrote was understandable and also to the best of my ability.
In maura's lesson I have to finish my assignment and i think i wil get it done this lesson as most of it i done in the last lesson and all i need to do now M3 which is talking about the different IT tools in Excel.

Today I have started to reflect on my letter that got sent home from the college. It was regarding my second year in college, I have to try and improve my behaviour in class and do all my assignments and hand it in class.
After my two hour break I spoke to judy about the letter I had sent home and she explained to me that my attendence was fine and she told me just to prove to the teachers that im worth teaching in the second year and to keep up to date with all my assigments.
My first lesson which was english was cancelled today so I started at 10:15 and this was nadars lesson. In nadars lesson the group got moved around because last lesson nadar found alot of people messing about. Once I was moved I thought it would benifit me because I would avoid any class distractions. When starting my work I was stuck so nadar explained the task to the assignment 4 clearly and I understood everything he said and got on with the work. I managed to finish P6 and M2 after he finished explaining the tasks to me.

week 7
Today in david castors lesson, my group and i were working on a presentation, after we finished working on it we then presentated it to the class and our form tutor, david castor. we got good feedback however we were told to improve some bits of our presentation.
We also watched two other presentations from two other groups. the last group were being watched by the students in our class, our form tutor aswell as Judy. there were many questions asked.
Our presentation was about the student database and we had to complete it before the christmas holiday which we did so.

Today im back to college from the half term, over the half term I was trying to improve some of my work for Nadar and I was also preparing my presentation for my English class. I have decided to do my presentation about my religion and I hope it goes well.
Today davids lesson, my group and I were trying to complete p6 which we still havent done yet, but I think the leader of our group, Abdullah Afzali, has got the hang of it and he said he will try and explain it to us so we can get working on it and get it done by this week.
In English today we have started a new topic which is doing reviews about film trailers. The first Film we reviewed in class was Mission Impossible 2, I thought that the trailer was alright and I think that the ilm itself is really good because im into action/spy films.
Now in mauras lesson we have been told to update our blogs, but I have to add more blogs from past dates and also include more information in each blog.
My weakness in each class I think is Class distractions, I think that I get distracted easily and this keeps me behind in some of my work, however for English I think I dont get distracted as much.

Today I was going to do my presentation in english but my hotmail wouldnt let me download the work i did at home so my teacher, Raaz told me i can do it tomorow.
In Nadars lesson he gave back my Assignment and i just have to explain about the codes in more depth and i will achieve whats needed in that assignment, however the coding is quite hard to understand and even someother students in my class found it hard.
Furthermore, the assignment from David, P6 for system analysis is quite hard and the group are struggling to complete it. I do also get distracted in class which stops me from contributing with my group.
Paul Jarrets Assignment i havent yet started and its due 27th of febuary, for that i am going to try and start it tonight and complete it by the end of the week.

Today i have given David my last piece of work for the D1, he then marked it and then said that i hadnt passed this criteria because i had to change the language i use. I also have been given P6, M2 and D2, this is due for March and is the last assignment left for this unit.
We have also nearly finished Maura's unit, as we only have D2 to do which is the blog and ongoing. I sometimes forget to do the blog because it has to be updated regularly and I have other things to do as well.
We had a assignment from nader which was for P5, M1 and D1. This is due for Wednesday 31st of January.

Today i had english first and we were going through a script from Eastenders. thought it was quite easy as all we did was anotate a script and discuss the things in the script and what types of techniques and languages used in it. Some people acted as the charectors while the others including me were listening.
Next had Nadars lesson which was quite calm as all we were doing was programming.
I then had a two hour break, after this two hour break i had Maura, this lesson was quite interesting as we found out what type of learner we were. i was suprised to find out that I was a Kinaesthetic learner which means i learn by doing practical things in lesson. we then worked on our M3 which i had completed in the lesson.
I had also found out that my reports were sent out and also uploaded on moodle. i had a quick read through my report and i think i done quite well except from being distracted at times in class.

Week 8
This week we have just come back from out christmas holiday, over the christmas holiday i worked on David Castors work which was the D1 for our group work. I hadnt had any other work from david as i had finished it with my group while we were in college. More over I completed my assignment set by Nadar and he marked in class and said i achieved what i needed for that assignment. I also handed in Maura's assignment which she will be giving back to us in the next week or so. I have also been working on my english work which was to produce a powerpoint about anything in our life. The first week back was a struggle as i hadnt had enough sleep for the first couple of days because my sleeping pattern through out the holiday was all over the place. I think that the first week back I hadnt contributed as much as i could have done because of this but starting from this week I will try my best to contribute as much as I can in all classes.
